NEA announces the National Arts Statistics and Evidence-based Reporting Center – Arts Education Domain Exploration

Last week, the NEA unveiled its new National Arts Statistics and Evidence-based Reporting Center (NASERC). “As part of this ongoing work, NASERC has created the Arts Indicators Project to track key measures across four domains: artists and other cultural workers, arts participation, arts and cultural assets, and arts and education. Indicators within these domains summarize important developments and trends in the arts using the latest national statistics, which are updated as new data becomes available.” The Arts Education domain explores the key indicators of “Who majors in the arts?” and “Who teaches the arts in schools?” You can explore this research and view the domain reports here. A recording of the launch is also available.
